Loften or Byars for SEC MVP

Why is there a discussion about whether Chris Loften of Knoxville College should be Player of the Year over Derrick Byars of Vanderbilt? There is no discussion.

Loften is a great outside shooter. And???

Byars is dangerous from any place on the court. He is a pure shooter, he can handle the ball, he can post up and he can d-up against guards and forwards alike. He is an amazing assist guy for his position.

Loften is a great outside shooter.

In close games, Byars has been the go to guy. He has been a part of every game deciding play this season. He has lead the Commodores to second in the SEC east.

There really is no debate on this subject. Byars is the better of the two players. It's not close...
