A new name is being mentioned in the presidential candidate pool for 2008. Apparently, Republican old guard icon James Baker, not happy with the current group of GOP candidates, has been drumming up support to bring Tennessee's own Fred Thompson into the fray.
Thompson, is no nonsense. He holds true to the conservative values that the vast majority of the party are starving for right now. He would be great with foreign policy and would also offer a more fiscally responsible approach to budgeting than President Bush.
Can he get elected? I don't know, but I do know that the party is desperate for a candidate that holds true to tenants that have been the backbone of the majority of our Country's beliefs. Thompson definitely offers the conservatives something to think about.
Besides, he's a great actor...

1 Corinthians 2:9
However, as it is written: "No eye has seen,no ear has heard,no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him."
