Wasn't it just a couple of years ago when there was a chorus of people, including some local radio personalities calling for something to happen at Vandy. Local radio shows were inundated with "get Vandy out of the SEC" calls.
The school made a mockery of the league by getting rid of the AD and actually expected their athletes to integrate with the rest of the student population. And then, all of the sudden, the cries were silenced. Today, the baseball team is #1, the men's basketball team is ranked and have beaten the 6 ranked teams including then #1 Florida, the women are nationally ranked and the football program shows more promises then they have in two decades.
Where are the nay sayers now? Where is George "I've been fired by VU twice" Plaster? Why it's simple. They are all at a picnic together eating some crow and humble pie.
VU has proven that doing things the right way pays off. They graduate their kids and they compete with the best. And they do it the right way.
Oh, and the chess club is still dominant.
1 Corinthians 2:9
However, as it is written: "No eye has seen,no ear has heard,no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him."
